Waters of Meribah

To further our discussion on the Municipality of Chatham-Kent a word given by the Lord concerning such was: *Waters of Meribah*

​

The Hebrew Meaning of Meribah is: - "Strife or Contention"

​

The waters were called "the waters of Meribah," where the Israelites quarreled with the LORD, and He showed Himself holy among them (Numbers 20:13, BSB). • Significance: Meribah serves as a symbol of human disobedience and divine provision.

​

In reading the articles previously posted and published by Elwood Shreve we can come to some conclusions of what was taking place at the time.

The Sin of Leadership & Citizens:

  1. Strife and Contention was in the camp.

  2. The Strife and Contention was against each County Government as well as the Provincial Government.

  3. The Strife and Contention is also against God, as God places the Leadership whom He has chosen in places of authority.

 

Romans 13:1-2 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.

​

The sin of the leadership opened the door to a Stronghold. The Stronghold of Jealousy, for the Region (Municipality of Chatham-Kent) since its inception on January 1, 1998.

​

The People who dwell here or pass through are under a black cloud and are influenced by this evil Stronghold. It will manifest in various ways, which I have brought forward previously being:

These are all heart issues: Murder, Anger, Rage, Violence, Bitterness, Suspicion, Competition, Revenge, Restlessness, Cruelty, Hate, Selfishness, Division, Wrath, Envy, and Unforgiveness.

​

We have witnessed the affects of these in our Communities.

  1. Church Splits

  2. Citizens: Strife & Complaining against Governmental Leadership.

  3. ​

This evil Stronghold will not leave until we repent and intercede on behalf of the Region/Municipality.

I am therefore asking for those who feel led to:

​

  1. Confess & Repent for personal sin before proceeding for the Region.

  2. We are to identify with the sins of the Leadership and Citizens of the Region, and stand in the gap on their behalf before the Lord.

  3. Confess & Repent for the sin (Complaining & Strife ) against the Lord who places those in authority.

  4. Confess & Repent for the sin (Complaining & Strife) against the Leadership within the then Counties of Chatham-Kent. (Councillors & Mayors)

  5. Confess & Repent for the sin (Complaining & Strife) against the Provincial Government and those in authority there.

  6. Confess & Repent of the sin within our Region against the current Leadership, Mayor & Councillors.

  7. Repent for each of the spirits that fall under the Stronghold of Jealousy - Murder, Anger, Rage, Violence, Bitterness, Suspicion, Competition, Revenge, Restlessness, Cruelty, Hate, Selfishness, Division, Wrath, Envy, and Unforgiveness.

  8. ​

Pray for the precious blood of Jesus to cover these sins and ask for the Lord to heal our Land.

​

We will now need to declare over the Municipality of Chatham-Kent the opposite of Contention & Strife - which would be Harmony/Unity.

​

We declare that the citizens of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent will dwell together in unity. For you will command the blessing, "Life forever more". Psalm 133: 1,3

​

We declare that as we have confessed our sins before You Lord, that you would hear from heaven and forgive our sins and heal our land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

​

We declare that we will love our neighbor's as ourselves. Matthew 22:39

​

I pray as you identify with the sins that have taken place and intercede for all that you would be blessed and prosper.
