The following is the symbolism of the Crest of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, both the natural and spiritual significance.

​

White Horse - At the centre of the shield of the Kent Regiment since its inception in 1792. Also the centrepiece of the Coat of Arms of the former County of Kent.

Notice the word Regiment - meaning - Merriam Webster

  1. A military unit consisting usually of a number of battalions.

  2. Archaic: Governmental rule.

Spiritual Significance: We are "A City" - The Government of God ruling as an army with many battalions. (house churches, local assemblies)

Red Maple Leaf - Symbol of Canada

Spiritual Significance: Chatham was once called *The Maple City*

Note the Scripture taken from Revelation 22:2 In the middle of the street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Our Spiritual Name given to Municipality of Chatham-Kent is *Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals!"

The Spiritual Name given to Canada of which we are a part is Jehovah Shammah, The Lord is there, the Lord who is present.

Navy Blue Ring - Name - "Corporation of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent"

Spiritual Significance: *City of God* One in Unity within the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.

Her Majesty's Crown - We are still loyal subjects of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, her heirs, and successors.

Spiritual Significance: When soil and water was collected throughout the Municipality and brought together as one to represent unity, we gave the title deed of the land to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ our King.

Agricultural Significance: Surrounding the ring are symbols with wheat to the 3/4 mark and two ears of corn at the base, to depict the rich agricultural heritage.

Spiritual Significance: The Hub of the City is the Apostolic Equipping Center - A place to train and equip the body of Christ. Spiritual Food.

*Invicta-Progressus* - Invicta - United as 23 units coming together as one municipality on January 1, 1998

Progressus - means progressive socially, and progressive by all other means.

Spiritual Significance: Psalm 133:1-3 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down the beard. the beard of Aaron. Running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon descending upon the mountains of Zion. for there the Lord commanded the blessing, Life forevermore.
