Government of God - Is The Kingdom of God

Matthew 21:43 “Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.”

  • The Kingdom has been taken from Israel and given to a nation who will bear the fruits of it, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

  • ​

1 Peter 2:9-10 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.”

  • The Kingdom has been taken from Israel and given to a chosen people (ecclesia – called out ones – A Governmental People - Church)

  • A Spiritual Kingdom of Kings and Priests

  • At the appointed time Jesus will return to earth and take His rightful place as King of Kings on the Throne of David. – Restored Kingdom to Israel.

Matthew 28:18 (NKJV) “…All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”

Matthew 28:18 (KJV) “…All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.”

Satan had received authority over the kingdoms of the world because of Adams’s sin. Jesus received that authority back when He went to the cross as the perfect sacrifice for the sin of the world.

  • The Kingdom of Satan is allowed to continue until Jesus returns.

The Strong’s Greek/Hebrew Dictionary interpretation is the same for both words of Authority and Power.

Authority – Greek – Exousia - (in the sense of ability); privilege, that is, (subjectively) force, capacity, competency, freedom, or (objectively) mastery (concretely magistrate, superhuman, potentate, token of control), delegated influence: - authority, jurisdiction, liberty, power, right, strength.

  • Persons in command, specifically: GOVERNMENT

 

Mark 1:27 “Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, What is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”

  • Notice the people thought that Jesus had brought a new doctrine because of the authority He had.

 

According to Matthew 12:22-30

  • Jesus heals a demon-possessed individual

  • The Pharisees attribute Jesus as casting out the demon by Beelzebub, the ruler of demons.

  • Jesus states “Every Kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation.”

  • An interesting statement Jesus makes, “And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.

  • Judicial Activity – Is Governmental – When a demon is cast out – Justice administered.

 

Jesus exercised His authority (Government) – The Stronger Man

As the Kingdom of God over the (Government) Kingdom of Satan

Kingdom of Light vs Kingdom of Darkness

                                                   

Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

  • The Apostolic anointing (Government) is given to all those sent out into their spheres of influence.

  • The Church has been given Authority/Power/Government to overthrow the spiritual powers of darkness.

Matthew 16:18 “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”
